Description of Events and Festivals
Welcome Week – January 6-10
Welcome Week is the perfect way to kick off the new year and semester. The week is filled with events and activities that help new students get acclimated to college life. From campus tours to meet-and-greets with faculty and staff, students are sure to feel welcomed and supported.
Black History Month Celebration – February
February is Black History Month, and Valencia College celebrates with a variety of events that honor the contributions of African Americans to our country. There are guest speakers, film screenings, and cultural performances that showcase the rich history and heritage of the black community.
International Women’s Day – March 8
International Women’s Day is a global celebration of women’s achievements and a call to action for gender equality. Valencia College hosts events that highlight the accomplishments of women in various fields, as well as discussions on how to continue to break down barriers and promote gender equity.
Spring Fling – March 21-23
